This volunteer role is to provide vital support to our Equine team, to ensure the best care is given to all our horses and ponies. The role involves various areas of equine care, from day-to-day stable and field maintenance to handling, grooming, training and preparing horses for rehoming. Volunteer training is provided, however basic knowledge of safety around equines and the ability to work independently is essential.

This volunteer role is to provide vital support to our animal care staff to ensure the health and welfare of the dogs in our care. Helping with the daily cleaning and maintenance of the kennels, and walking the dogs or keeping them company in one of our day rooms.

Our Charity Shops and Donation Centers seek versatile volunteers to support our vital retail operations. Whether you want to develop new skills or are passionate about animal welfare, you can help at our high street shops, the “Tack Shack,” or our online hubs.

We offer flexible shifts across many roles, from customer service and furniture collection to sorting donations. If you have a digital flair, you can even help research and list “treasured items” on eBay and Facebook. Full training is provided for all tasks, including till operation.

Oak Tree Farm needs enthusiastic volunteers to maintain our beautiful rescue site. Whether you have a green thumb, DIY skills, or simply enjoy being active outdoors, your support ensures a safe and welcoming environment for our animals and visitors.

Roles are varied and flexible, including tending to flower beds and woodland, repairing fencing, painting, or assisting with site upkeep. Our teams are friendly and supportive; while existing skills are a plus, we provide full training and equipment for all tasks.
