Tasks include:

  • General gardening such as weeding, planting, mowing, strimming, and pruning.
  • Maintaining wooden structures including sanding and repairing benches, gates, fences, and sheds.
  • Basic DIY and site upkeep such as painting, decorating, changing bulbs, and fixing shelves.
  • Cleaning and grounds maintenance using power washers, clearing gutters, and sweeping paths.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and washing of charity vans.

Available shifts

We typically look for a commitment of one shift per week (approximately 2–3 hours). Shifts are flexible and can be arranged to suit your schedule between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please indicate your availability on your application form.

What attributes are we looking for?

  • A strong interest in animal welfare and a self-motivated, positive attitude.
  • Enjoyment of working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Reasonable physical fitness for manual handling, lifting, and active grounds work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small, friendly team.
  • Own transport is essential due to our rural farm location.
