Charity Retail & Logistics Volunteer
Our Charity Shops and Donation Centers seek versatile volunteers to support our vital retail operations. Whether you want to develop new skills or are passionate about animal welfare, you can help at our high street shops, the “Tack Shack,” or our online hubs.
We offer flexible shifts across many roles, from customer service and furniture collection to sorting donations. If you have a digital flair, you can even help research and list “treasured items” on eBay and Facebook. Full training is provided for all tasks, including till operation.
Tasks include:
- Sorting and pricing donations
- Steaming clothes
- Replenishing stock
- Creating display
- Providing great customer service
- Operating the till
- Assisting with van collections and deliveries
- Researching
- Photographing
- Dispatching online sales.
Available shifts
We offer flexible shifts seven days a week (typically between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm). Most roles require a minimum commitment of 2–3 hours per week. Please indicate your availability and preferred location on your application.
What attributes are we looking for?
- A strong interest in animal welfare and a friendly, approachable personality.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Reasonable physical fitness for manual handling and lifting.
- Basic IT confidence for administrative or online selling roles.
- Reliable transport is beneficial for farm-based or multi-site roles.
